Cardiovascular Diagnosis and Therapy
Aims and Scope
Cardiovascular Diagnosis and Therapy (Print ISSN: 2223-3652; Online ISSN: 2223-3660; Cardiovasc Diagn Ther; CDT) is an open access, peer-reviewed, international English-language journal, publishing articles related to cardiovascular medicine and surgery. It was launched in December 2011 as a quarterly publication and has been published bimonthly since February 2014.
The main focus of CDT is to describe novel findings in cardiovascular diagnosis and therapy, provide current and practical information on diagnosis, prevention and clinical investigations. Contributions pertinent to cardiovascular diseases are also included, such as environment, public health, human genetics, basic sciences, education, sociology and nursing. The mission of CDT is the rapid exchange of scientific information between clinicians and investigators worldwide.
CDT is indexed in PubMed/PubMed Central and Web of Science [Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)]. The SCIE impact factor 2023 for CDT is 2.1.
CDT publishes mostly original researches and review articles. Other article types are also encouraged (see more at our instruction for authors). A special feature, Arts and Medicine, is also highlighted in the cover image of every issue.
The entire submission and peer review process are managed through OJS system, an electronic system, which provides an efficient way and ensure a rapid turnaround of papers submission, review and publication. Articles will be published in print and online.

Information for Authors
CDT is a member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and it follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)'s guidelines and the ICMJE recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journal.
Manuscripts submitted must be the original work of the author(s) and must not be published previously or under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Submission Turnaround Time
- In-house review: 1-3 weeks
- External peer review: 1-3 months
- Publication Ahead of Print: within 1 month after being accepted
- Formal publication: within 1-3 months after being accepted. Original Articles are listed as priority.

Publication Schedule
Published quarterly from Dec. 2011 to Dec. 2013, CDT now follows a bimonthly publication model (February, April, June, August, October, December).
